PREPARATION: Properly preparing the surface is crucial when applying a clear sealer. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free of any dirt, oil, wax, or grease. If acid was used for cleaning, neutralize and rinse the tile surface thoroughly before applying the sealer.
APPLICATION:
Apply Olé using a paint pad applicator, brush, or low pressure/airless sprayer. Apply two or more thin, even coats and allow each coat to dry for a minimum of 4 hours before applying the next. Avoid over-application and ensure the sealer does not puddle on the surface. Surfaces treated with Ole can be used within 24 hours of drying, but the protection against stains and abrasion will continue to strengthen over the following three weeks.
CAUTIONS:
Before starting your project, always make sure to carefully read the instructions on the package and conduct a product test. This will help ensure proper bonding to the surface, easy application, a good appearance, and protection against oil and grease. For denser materials like Super Saltillos or machine-manufactured pavers, or if you are working on previously sealed tiles, you can dilute the first coat of Olé with water to enhance bonding. Additionally, Olé can be used as a grout release by applying two coats 48 hours before grouting. After grouting and cleanup, wait 24 hours before sealing the new grout.
MAINTENANCE INDOORS:
Apply and maintain Glaze ’N Seal Floor Polish over Olé to protect against abrasion and prolong the lifespan of the sealer. Remember to place protective pads under chair legs and furniture to prevent damage. Keep your floors clean by regularly mopping with a slightly damp cloth.
MAINTENANCE OUTDOOR:
The surface can be rinsed with water or cleaned using Glaze 'N Seal Neutral Cleaner. If desired, Olé can be re-applied for a fresh look and enhanced protection.
